I would be interested in the Chain Gang Training, but may struggle to get there on time. Would have to come straight from work.

Let us know if you get enough for a gang.

PS. Could also do with training on how to stop a fixed gear track bike.

Sunday ride 23rd May 2010, one of my long standing friends has entered the Lichfield tri in July so we are meeting up at Coton-in-the-elms (burton rd) just before Black Horse Pub from Burton at 8am to ride over to Lichfield via whittington/curborough to Frairy Grange Liesure Centre. There we are doing the 20Km TT then back to Coton my stop at Curborough. It willn't be a hard ride, but as Alistair lives our Hurley Nr Kingsbury he needs to know the TT course. I thought it was quite flat untill I

drove on it, there is a long graduel climb then a flat selection. Then it drives around 800m (according to tri site) down to Rugley Power Station then back again so a negative split seems unlikley ?  Huh any way if any body wants a change get too Coton for 8am or let me know so we can wait a few min's ?  Cool

Yesterday's club run was pretty savage. 70 miles from home to home at 19mph average, with a 4 mile climb in that heat. With that route that average was good going. We were still doing 31mph flat out coming back in to Church Broughton after 55 miles.

Went to Tesco at Hilton to refuel with Pete and Sam, then got back in 30 minutes from there. Totally spent by the time i got home.

The question is did you enjoy it or was it too much!

I thought the route was great. I was hanging on for dear life at the back towards the end, but enjoyed it.

We got back quick without a stop, but I do enjoy a good tea and carrot cake Cafe break.

What does anyone else think?

Sounds like a tough ride on Sunday...sorry I missed it.. Wink I only managed a steady 45ish on my own later in the day, bit too warm.

Should be out next week so will try and talk you all into making a cake stop.

Well that puts my average 15 mph for fist 75 miles on Saturday's in heat around Ashborne/Belper from Beeston on my own to shame. Well Phil has agreed to show me how hill climbing should be done this Sunday when we do Evans cycles from High Peak (New Mills) in

I really enjoyed it. Shame you missed it Si. I would have taken a cafe stop but needed to get back. Our more leisureley routes seem to suit a cafe stop better! It was a testing route. Loved that climb from Ashbourne to Longcliffe. Can't believe we managed to keep that speed up over that route.

When Pete and i got back to Midway we'd had it. Can't make Sunday this week so what are my options Saturday?
